Fun Street runs one big Halloween weekend a year at Silverburn, and it takes over the whole centre for two days. This page covers what those days are actually like for a family with young children, and it keeps the record of our 2025 event, Wicked Halloween, which ran on 25 and 26 October 2025.
Halloween 2026 at Fun Street
The 2026 event is the Hocus Pocus Halloween Party. Three witches take over the centre, there is a live sing along, a potion lab where every child makes a potion to take home, musical statues, and costume prizes judged in each session. Every ticket also includes full access to the soft play frames, the play houses and the baby and toddler zones, plus a trick or treat bag and Halloween tattoos.

Sessions run 1 hour 30 minutes, with a further 15 minutes allowed for getting in and out. Babies under six months are welcome with an adult but do not receive the trick or treat bag or tattoos and do not take part in the potion making.
What happened at Wicked Halloween 2025
Our 2025 Halloween weekend ran on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2025 and was built around the world of Oz. It is a useful picture of the shape these weekends take, because the format stays the same from year to year even when the theme changes.
- Wicked sing along, 30 minutes. Live performers as Glinda and Elphaba, with music and dancing.
- Meet and greet. Photographs with the characters, which is where most of the queue forms.
- Best dressed costume competition, with prizes, judged in every session.
- Potion making. Hands on, colourful, and the thing children talk about afterwards.
- Pumpkin carving, so every child went home with a jack o’ lantern.
- Defying Gravity zone, a themed bouncy castle for children who needed to burn energy.
- Flying monkey surprises around the centre through the session.
The 2025 event was recommended for children aged 1 to 12, ran 1 hour 30 minutes with a 15 minute entry and exit window, and asked families to arrive 10 minutes early and queue to the left of the entrance door. Those three things have not changed.
What a Halloween session is actually like
Here is how the ninety minutes tends to go, so you can plan around it.
- The first ten minutes are admin. Shoes off, socks on, coats stowed, and a look at where everything is. Arriving early is what makes this part calm.
- Then play. Most children go straight for the frames while the room fills up.
- The show pulls everyone in. The sing along is the anchor of the session and it is loud, in the good way.
- The activities run alongside. Potions and costume judging happen around the show, so there is no dead time.
- The last fifteen minutes are for finding shoes. Always longer than you think.
Erina’s Kitchen stays open through the event, with seating on the ground and first floors and full meals for adults as well as children, so you are not building a picnic at half past nine in the morning.

Which matters more at Halloween than at any other point in the year, because a child in a padded pumpkin suit in a warm room lasts about twenty minutes.
Who it suits, and who it does not
This is a gentle event. There are no jump scares, the lights stay up, and the performers are pantomime rather than horror, which is deliberate: the core audience is two to eight year olds. If you have a child who loves a character meet and greet, they will have a very good day.
It suits a nine or ten year old who is coming with younger siblings, and it is not the right choice for an older child who wants a proper scare. A child who finds busy rooms hard can still do it, because the toddler zone sits away from the stage and the sing along is a fixed thirty minutes rather than the whole session, but the 10am slot is the one to book.
Planning the October week around it
Scottish October holidays fall around the same fortnight as Halloween, so the weekend event is usually one day of a longer week you have to fill. Standard play sessions run every other day from 10am to 6pm, and weekday mornings are the quietest hours we have. When is Halloween at Fun Street Glasgow this year?
The Hocus Pocus Halloween Party runs on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026, with four sessions each day at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. The 2025 event, Wicked Halloween, ran on 25 and 26 October 2025 and has finished.
How long is a Halloween session?
One hour and thirty minutes inside, with a further fifteen minutes allowed for entry and exit. Arrive about ten minutes before your session and queue to the left of the entrance door, because entry and exit times are held to so the next session can start on time.
What age is the Halloween event for?
It is recommended for children under 12, and the sweet spot is roughly two to eight. Babies and toddlers are welcome with an adult and have their own zones away from the stage.
Do we have to dress up?
No, but most children do, and the costume prizes are judged in every session so a later ticket is not a lesser one. Choose something your child can climb and slide in.
Can we turn up on the day?
Halloween weekend is ticketed and places in each session are capped, and it sells out ahead of the day rather than on it. Book online and choose your session time, because tickets are non-refundable.
Where is Fun Street and is there parking?
Fun Street is on the upper level at Silverburn, Barrhead Road, Glasgow G53 6AG. Parking at the centre is free and several bus routes stop at Silverburn. On a Halloween Saturday the car parks fill from late morning, so leave a little extra time.
